It’s starting to look as if California’s drought is ending. We’ll know more over the next couple of years.
This weekend we’ve been having a nasty storm in the northern part of the state. I was able to shop for food on Thursday and Friday, and stay sealed inside during the storm.
Some people are dealing with flooding, power outages and other complications, and I feel a bit guilty about having it so easy. I live in Downtown San Francisco, above sea level and on an upper floor.
Aside from food, here are “provisions” I have kept within reach to prepare for the worst: battery operated lights and a Jackie Collins novel. I haven’t needed the lights, but the book is proving to be a fun read.
