Alexandro Querevalu: Ave Maria

This morning I was scrolling down a personal social media page, and saw that a friend had shared a video by an excellent musician I hadn’t heard of.

The video shared on this page is different, and actually it’s audio with a still photograph.  It’s an example of how a fine composition with universality — this one by Franz Schubert — holds up in an arrangement which may never have occurred to the composer.  It’s beautiful.

Alexandro Querevalu has a YouTube channel, and I’ll be looking for more of his work this weekend.
